why?

i'm not sure why. maybe i haven't found that
"relationship" somebody yet. maybe i haven't been
ready for a relationship. maybe i'm just not the
relationship type. maybe everyone i date or have an
interest in doesn't feel the same about me. maybe i
just haven't had the time... i'm sure it could be a
number of things.

why are you single? why is anyone single really?

don't get me wrong... i don't know if i believe that
everyone should be in a relationship. i think we're
all capable of being single and happy. especially
since all the propaganda about being in a relationship
and finding "the one" is just a ploy to get straight
people to marry and form family units to produce more
babies that will serve the army that protects our
country.

...now if that's not cynicism, i don't know what is!

maybe i'm single because i'm a bit jaded about the
point of it all...

i'm in no means conventional by society's means, ie.
being gay for one, so why should i live by society's
conventions? ie. court/be courted, get married, have
2.5 kids, live in a house with a white picket fence...

and maybe i'm single because i hadn't been sending out
the right vibe. and until i'm truly indenpendent and
happy being single, i won't exude the confidence to
attract the right kind of people in my life who are
relationship-oriented. also, the good relationships
are when both people are able to stand on their own
two feet not depend on each other for survival.
leaving the two people in the relationship because
they want to be there, caring for each other out of
love, and not out of necessity.
