keep the candle burning

8:58 a.m.

i have decided to finally participate in an act for peace. is this the first of more to come for me? i don't know. i know where i stand, i just don't know all the facts to feel like i can participate in a louder statement. i'm learning though. i don't think i can go around protesting or pushing people's buttons. i just don't know everything. i know that this war is unnecessary and that bush is not the brightest guy in the world. i know that he's in the wrong place at the wrong time. or that if anything, he should never be in this position at anytime. i feel so much anger and hatred out there and it's blinding the decisions to where it matters. a lot of people are going to get hurt, on both sides. i think to side with america and say that we're this great big force of good and that we're right and righteous and all that, is frightening. because it's wrong. we've become a vigilante nation and backing us up with the will of God. sounds all too familiar. sounds all too much like the enemy we're built up to fight against.

it's wrong. so, with that, i'll light my candle on my windowsill to symbolize a beacon for peace and hope.
