i got a new car

3:40 p.m.so my four non-productive days turned out to be not so bad. although those last two days ended up being self-destructive. as far as productivity, i did get a new car! finally, i am no longer stuck at home. that's the good thing. i ended up going to the car dealership just to look at cars and be depressed with the fact that i wouldn't get one. but thanks to my mom, i came home with one. it's all in her name, but i'm paying for it... a whopping $420 a month. yikes. but i know i can pull it off and it was with no down. so that was pretty cool. and this was on saturday. the following day and a half, i celebrated by spending lots of money and consuming lots of alcohol. not a wise choice. but don't get me wrong, i had fun. it was cool. i just wish i didn't spend that much money. but it was great to hang out with my friend aisha. we had dinner at Lucille's Smokhouse Grill in Belmont Shores in Long Beach. it was really good food. it was the first time i tried fried green tomatoes! reallly good! but the food was so expensive, i ended up having a garden burger and fries. and then we went to the mall (aka hell) and i bought CD's for my new car! yes, spend spend spend. that was my theme for the weekend. but, i did get "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" on DVD....that was pretty rad! i love that movie. it's a classic most definitely.
but the next day, an innocent lunch with my good friend melissa turned into an all day beer fest. we started with a pitcher of beer with our food. then we headed over to this bar down the street and caught a pretty cool blues and rock band playing at 3 in the afternoon. so of course we had to have a couple beers...that turned into a few more at Club Broadway, then a couple more and a game of pool at Fern's...then of course, we have to go out now, cuz we don't want the feeling to stop. so we headed up to west hollywood at Rush...not the greatest place in the world, but no cover, cheap drinks, and some pretty hot boys. so more alcohol was consumed, fun was had, and now i'm left with an aching body, possibly damaged liver, and an annoying hangover. but oh well, that's life.
now i'm completely broke...i have zero dollars in my bank account, and a twenty left to get me through til friday. i'm not very happy. but i am about my car. i know jack shit about cars, but i like mine. it's a 2001 civic, four doors, a CD player! air conditioning that works! power windows that go up AND down without assistance from passengers or my hands, doors that unclock with the push of a button on my key chain! and the ability to drive farther than LA (i.e. san fransisco, san diego, vegas...the sky's the limit! no really, it doesn't fly. and i don't think i want to try driving across the ocean...okay tangent, must stop now)
