hot chicks and roasted chicken

11:00 p.m.

so today was fun. i woke up this morning with a little bit of a hangover. i didn't even feel drunk last night. but it turned out that i must have been, cuz i passed out after thinking that drank my last beer. but i woke up this morning to find an extra unopened bottle in the bag as i was cleaning them up from my room. but as i promised in my last entry, i ended up watching ferris bueller. good movie. total classic.

so feeling bloated and out of shape, i decided to resurrect my gym membership. i had one at 24 hour fitness in long beach, but after i moved home and my bank account went inactive for a month, they had to close it. so i found one that's nearer to my house and on the way to and from work. i went in, and they set me up with one. it's only $7 more than i was paying before, but this time i can come in any day of the week i want to. whereas my last membership was only for tuesdays, thursdays, and the weekends. it was weird, but cheap. so i'm going to make a resolution for myself to start going. i hardly go out and dance anymore, so i need to stay active somehow. especially when the majority of my week is sitting on my ass 8 hours a day. so i'm pretty excited about that. i hope hope hope i stay consistent with this. i've been known to develop an interest for something (or someone) and lose it shortly afterward and move on to something else. but working out would be good for me, physically and emotionally. i also like the fact that it's open 24 hours (hence the name) and i can choose to go at the middle of the night if i wanted to. (let's say if i wanted to blow off steam or whatever)

so after setting that up, i went out with aisha to watch "the hot chick." i liked it. it was pretty funny. although we went to this mall and i'd like to say that people suck. i know i reiterate this plenty, but it's true. they can't drive. especially it's holiday season at the mall. we got there kinda early, so we walked around the mall a little bit, where i also discovered that people suck, too. they pretty much walk inside as well as they drive outside. i think i've been bumped into more times than one person should during the total of 20 minutes we were in there. but oh well. went in the gap, saw cool stuff, but they were for me, so i didn't get anything.

well, we went in the theater relatively early, thinking that we surpassed enough time to catch the movie. no. we were wrong. we still had an hour to kill. an HOUR in a pretty ghetto-fied theater... what the hell is one to do? PLAY GAMES! yes. we played games. and i haven't played an arcade game in too long. it was so much fun. we played this random japanese fighting game. i don't know what it was called, but it wasn't street fighter or mortal kombat. but i seriously got my ASS KICKED. but get this, not just my ass was being kicked, but by AISHA. she kicked my ass!!! ass. (i thought another ass needed to be there) so yeah, apparently i'm not as video game savvy as i use to be, or was i ever? but i've never sucked this bad before! what's going on? the other night when i was at carina's house, we were playing mario kart. mario fucking kart! i use to be so good at that game! let me tell you this much. i sucked. i sucked ass! we're talking 8th place through the whole evening. fuck me. oh well. so tonight made me realize that i'm losing my touch. i guess this means that i have to do something about that. i think it calls for non-stop video play while i have these couple of days off. sounds good to me!

okay, so tomorrow (or possibly today) is winter solstace. happy solstace! we're getting together at carina's house for a get-together dinner type deal. it's going to be cool, i'm excited about that. i'm going to roast a chicken, which i've never done before. but it should be an experience. aisha's gonna show me what to do, and carina says they did it on thanksgiving, so her house is no stranger to a roasting chicken. and i bought two bottles of white zinfadel and a bottle of chardonnay. the cheap shit of course. so hopefully it will have the appearance of a sophisticated evening...well until we get plastered of course! i don't really know if that will happen. but tomorrow should be eventful. i think the act of cooking together is really the heart of the gathering.

well, i better get to bed. i want to get up tomorrow and work out before we start the day's festivities. until then.
