lunchtime lunacy

1:27 p.m.so while everyone was out to lunch having a good ol' time. i decided not to take lunch. i stayed here, doing really nothing, cuz usually i feel like doing nothing. i ate my power bar, cuz that's all i brought with me. not much selection at a gas station at 7am.
1:00 came around, i was like, "fuck it."
exactly like that, "fuck. it."
i need to leave.
so i left. i ended up taking a lunch and i drove around. it's a pretty fucking nice day out, so where else to ruin it? i go to the mall. people don't know how to drive. people suck. i don't like people.
but i was happy cuz i was not in the office. i like not being in the office. even if it was for 20 minutes. i went into best buy, just to look around. i was tempted to buy a few things, okay more than a few. but, i didn't. here's why:
1. cuz they were going to be for me and i really need to start thinking about getting stuff for other people, especially for christmas.
2. i really don't have a lot of money, especially with my screw-ups with my bank and all. i finally got my direct deposit last week, but i kept overdrawing my money out of my account regardless of how much money i actually had. and lo and behold, money magically appeared out of those wonderful electronic machines. but at a price, almost double that price if you don't know what you're doing. so i had to pay it all back, $400 of it. i finally had a paycheck deposited this morning that left me with a little bit left over. i didn't even see anything from last week. so i couldn't really spend that money, only on necessities until i get a full check next week. plus, car payment, insurance, and cell phone bills are due early next month. gotta be smart and responsible.
3. also the line was pretty fucking long. all the above mentioned reasons would be nulled if this wasn't true. i guess people decided that today would be a good day to not go to work and shop. being that it's the friday before christmas which i didn't know was a holiday. but i guess the next step would be to make it legal and entitle it "friday before christmas, the procastinator's shopping day, no work/school...etc. etc. etc." pretty long title, but possible.
so to end my wonderful lunchtime story, i came back, bought cheetos and a dr. pepper, and i feel much better. sometimes it's worth it to drive for no apparent reason. i should just choose my destination better.
