in and out breathing

3:49 p.m.

apparently, i didn't get my daily dose of buddhist wisdom today. so i have two that i skipped over the weekend. i'll just have to use one of them for today's.

-----------------------------

The mindfulness of in and out breathing, of body contemplation, of keeping consciousness of the moment, is a noble occupation and a sublime way, leading to independence of mind and to wisdom.

-Samyutta Nikaya

-----------------------------

in other news, our voicemails are down here at work, so i'm gettin angry callers repeatedly coming back to me accusing me of sending them intentionally to a line that rings endlessly. yeah. i did that on purpose to spite you! and i intentionally made sure that the person you've been playing phone tag with all week wasn't at their desk or out of the office everytime you called! so ha!

------------------------------

on that note,

two things i'm grateful for in my life:

1. free concerts from april who works with warner bros. music.

2. free promotional music from april who works with warner bros music ::thank you, ate!::***

***cultural reference: ate (pronounced AH-tay) is the filipino prefix for big sister. it is commonly used for older cousins and close friends. in this case, ate april is not biologically my big sister, she is a very good friend who we often refer to as "ate prel." kuya (pronounced koo-YAH) refers to an older brother, good male friend, etc.
