11:56 a.m.

so here i am finding all these people i use to know before on friendster. and i'm all excited to see a familiar face, so i message them. usually the message goes something like this:

hey! aren't you so&so? we met a long time ago, when i use to (insert random event here). wow, i haven't talked to you in a long time. how have you been? how are things with you?

and then the response is:

fine n u

the fucker didn't even bother to spell out words, let alone use punctuation marks. what the fuck is that about? fuck. why do most guys online just want the short, quick conversations. no one wants to talk anymore. no one wants to discuss things. it's ridiculous. i mean, these are suppose to be people i know. on the other hand, i've met some random people who are actually intelligent and can hold a conversation.

so what does this say about me? that these people who have met me in person before and know me don't want to have anything to do with me? that i wasn't interesting enough to be surprised to have seen after so long? or that the only way i can make friends is with people i don't meet face to face? and is friendster going to become another gay.com thing? i don't want that. i got messaged by some kid, and this was the jist of our conversation:

friendster: sup

me: not much, man. just hangin out at home. i just got home from work and i'm pretty tired. i'm just watching some t.v. and reading emails. what's goin on with you?

friendster: chillin u?

me: uh...

me: hangin out, watchin t.v.

friendster: so what's up? you gotta pic?

---

ahhhh!!! it's a fucking chat game! i'm sick of those. i didn't sign up for that. i just want to meet people, meet friends of friends. go beyond the a/s/l hook-up. and plus, all my info's on my profile. you don't have to ask for those things anymore. my age, sex, location, and five pics! (well four, excluding the paddington pic). it's suppose to present the opportunity of starting an actual conversation without having to go through the painful process of checking out each other's stats. anyway. it feels good to vent about this finally.

i promise i'll get to the vegas trip recap soon. maybe i'll wait for pics to come in. i still have to write part two of the SF trip. asha scanned more pics for me a long time ago.
