evolution and the creation of the tazo chai frappucino

2:04 p.m.

i went for a drive, found my way at a ::ugh:: starbucks. and i found out that they now have tazo chai frappucinos! mmmmm. and guess what? they're sooooo good. now i feel much better!

i was just pissed cuz i layed down all my thoughts that have been stewing in my head since last night. it baffles me how someone just won't believe something that the scientific community has proven through years of study. and then to be called brainwashed. is another thing. because i think that the whole purpose of experimentation and recording findings is to prove something.

i think the issue is that christians are on the most part close minded in the literal translations of the bible, that they don't want to believe something that may not coincide with their teachings. it just sucks that everything i learned about evolution is going to be set aside as nothing just so creationism can butt into the curriculum as a science.

but it's not. a science. whether it be true or not, it's just not a science.

evolution was founded through study and research. a conclusion to a series of findings.

i just think that it's just strange how people will completely disregard scientific evidence just to hold their religious beliefs. even when it's a known fact that the ancient language of sumerian is translated in many different forms and is very symbollic and could mean a number of things in english, let alone the very symbollic language of the many muslim and hindu languages we get our translations from.

yet, the scientific language of experimentation is literal and is meant to be literal. no beliefs or spiritual ideas for that matter is meant to be drawn from it. it's just a way of understanding the history of our planet and what we physically find here.

one christian explanation for the findings (meaning fossils and sediment and such) are just to show that things were here before us. and that they have no relation to what is around today. that the only proof there is the proof of other things. but these "other things" aren't of the bible. aren't explained in the bible. such other things are dinosaurs. how could one not speak of a large walking creature. did God not create this large creature? how do they fit in the bible? wouldn't adam and eve have seen such large ferrocious creatures in paradise?

i asked my bible study teacher once when i was young. i don't remember his answer. i think he avoided the question. i remember he made us draw a timeline, and being a little kid, i was fascinated by dinosaurs. i had dinosaur stickers everywhere, i'd doodle them in class. and i drew my timeline, and i asked him, "where should i put the dinosaurs?" and he was like..."uh...well let's put them here." and he pointed to a portion of the paper way before God creating the earth. i didn't understand. he didn't explain. he neither denied the existence of dinosaurs, nor told me where they fit in this whole creation process. that image always stayed in my mind, which is probably why i wanted to know more.

any thoughts? any interesting links? i'd like to know more.
