The general opinion about Cancers is that they are sweet, kind, sensitive, loving - Oh Yeah? Think again. Cancers can be one of the hardest, most ruthless of all the signs in the Zodiac. Sure, they're sensitive but try to crack their tough shell once they crawl in. You're in for a trying time. However they come across - soft or hard - their inner core sustains them and they don't need anyone's help in life. They are quite capable of taking care of themselves, thank you very much. Neediness is rarely a character trait of a Cancer. It's the other way around - others rely on them for a lot. And Cancers usually come through (unless they have a selfish streak, which is quite possible with some Cancers). That's why Cancers of both sexes are good at parenting - they can be relied upon to fulfill their basic responsibilities towards a child. However, if a Cancer mother or father did not want a child but was forced into the job, their expression of frustration can turn into violence towards the child. (Never force a Cancer to be a parent.) Cancers are leaders (being a Cardinal sign), so you'll often find them in some sort of responsible position. In general, Cancers are also very good at amassing money (unless they have that selfish streak and insist on living the good life). They can save every penny. When that proverbial rainy day comes, you can be sure a Cancer will always have enough in his or her savings account to cover any unexpected bills. Cancers can be fickle in love unless they are obsessively "in love". Then they are loyal to a fault. But it takes a lot to impress a Cancer enough for them to agree to matrimony. Intimacy is another area (besides their career) where Cancers are very successful. They are sexy creatures and know it. They are usually quite concerned with their physical appearance and are interested in impressing romantic partners. Cancers are very confident and have big egos. Don't try to railroad a Cancer - they just stand still and are immovable. They stick to their guns and aren't wishy-washy unless they want you to think they're weak. Then they get you! By falling for a Crab's weak demeanor (which is a strategic plan) you can easily underestimate them and then you're fried eggs for their breakfast!
