sludge and grime

8:30 a.m.everyday, i go out in the back to smoke cigarettes in our "break area." some people from the offices downstairs have set up these coffee cans to act as our ashtrays. over time, they just become these disgusting looking things. through rain and ash, it's just a horrible thing to look at. so, naturally, i take pictures!
the rust gathers around the can and up into the lid. notice the clever holes in the lids. it's the perfect place to drop your used cancer sticks. the push pins are there to give that extra push when you don't want your fingers to touch the grime that has gathered around the holes.
insert cigarette as such.
this is just a peak inside the bottomless pit. i dare not open the lid. inside you'll find a combination of cigarette butts and water, mixed together to form some sort of toxic sludge.
